Financial Aid
Financial Aid Night will be this fall. Stay tuned for the November date. A representative from PHEAA will share information about grants, loans, work study and how to apply for financial aid using the FAFSA form. You can access a handy, easy to use guide to learn more about financial aid here: PA Financial Aid Guide
The key to financial aid is completing the FAFSA form. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
This form is located online: FAFSA. This form is FREE, so if you locate it on a site that tries to charge you to complete it, you are on the wrong site!
It should be filled out anytime after October 1 of your senior year but prior to your college's deadline.
In order to complete your FAFSA form, you need an FSA ID. You can create one here: FSA ID
The FAFSA is due at different times depending on which college you are attending. Check with your college for the deadline.
When you complete the FAFSA, it prompts you to begin an application for the PA State Grant program. Be sure to submit this application as well. Aside from the FAFSA and PA State Grant program applications, scholarships are the only other piece you need to worry about with the financial aid puzzle.
