Paying for College

Financial Aid

Financial Aid Night will be this fall. Stay tuned for the November date. A representative from PHEAA will share information about grants, loans, work study scholarships and how to apply for financial aid using the FAFSA form.

The key to financial aid is completing the FAFSA form. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

This form is located at https://fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm. This form is FREE, so if you locate it on a site that tries to charge you to complete it, you are on the wrong site!

It should be filled out anytime after October 1 of your senior year but prior to your college's deadline.

In order to complete your FAFSA form, you need an FSA ID. You can create one at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid.

The FAFSA is due at different times depending on which college you are attending. Check with your college for the deadline.
